Cataracts - Blue Light Glasses

Cataracts - Blue Light Glasses

Cataracts - Blue Light Glasses.

Cataracts are clouding of the eyes crystalline lens which can occur overtime as part of the aging process, due to trauma or due to excessive exposure to UV.

Lens opacities often begin in the 40's and 50's but generally don't cause disturbance to vision until the sixth and 7th decade of life.

Symptoms include

* cloudiness of vision

* sensitivity to glare and light

* increasing difficulty with night time vision

Customers with catatacts who are purchasing prescription glasses online are recommended to choose an anti reflective coating on their lenses to help reduce the effects of glare and a blue light blocking filter to protect from blue light from digital devices.

It is also recommended to buy non prescription or prescription glasses with full uv protection to protect the eyes from uv damage and help slow down the progression of the cataracts.

Purchasing sunglassss with a wrap around or over sized shape gives the eyes and surrounding areas greater protection.
